PVC windows

Modern plastic windows consist of a set of standard elements. For an average consumer it may seem that all the windows are the same, but in fact this is not so. Each company that produces profiles for PVC windows and doors offers a wide range of products: profiles of different configurations and purposes. Accurate selection of these elements allows to achieve superior performance, ergonomics and attractive appearance.

Together the profiles form an integrated system. They are united by a common style and manufactured from the same material. Each manufacturer has its own design and functionality system (and sometimes several systems).

Generally, PVC windows consist of the following components:

  • Profile — consists of a frame, a flap, a glass pane, a reinforcement, glazing beads, gaskets and an impost. PVC profile is a thin-walled hollow profile with several chambers filled with air. There may be three or more of these chambers.
  • Glass pane — is formed of two or more sheets of glass, tightly connected with the metal frame along the perimeter. The resulting closed chambers between the panes are filled with dried air or some other gas. Depending on the number of chambers double-glazed windows can be divided into single-chamber windows, dual-chamber windows etc.
  • Fittings — a system of locking mechanisms. Fittings include a variety of instruments and mechanisms that provide for reliable window functionality. Fittings are very important; the stability and reliability of the entire window depend on their quality.
  • Window sills — are important part of any window system, and your home in general. Window sills reduce the inflow of cold air into a room and prevent heat losses.
  • Window jambs — are inner surfaces of window openings. Jamb finishing is the final step of a glazing process.
  • Window ledges — are analogous to window sills, only placed on the external side of the window. We see them every day walking past houses, offices, educational institutions, shopping centers and kindergartens.

We offer our customers a 6-chamber version of GEALAN S 8000 IQ system
